Butterflies from Until Spring by Tears

Running away to face my demons another day,
The love I feel overwhelms my hates dull ache,
In recognition of this diseased attitude,
I offer up a glass in toast to the only people to show they can cope with my stagnant ineptitude.

I know that this is only one day, if only one day.

This feeling in my stomach keeps on pounding me and its drowning me for all my cursed saints.
Safe in this bubble I can't burst out of, suffocating me, misunderstood always.

Trying to find some semblance of something that resembles company.
Put in boxes, another tick on the stock list, oh sanity,
For now I see the fleeting colours vividly.

One day I will be a beautiful butterfly.
Fly away from the demons that pester me.

I hope that I will sprout wings one day, join those around me.
For now I'm content to sit here wondering with my own wretched company.
Keep telling myself it's only one day, this is only one day.
I only feel like this today, it's only one day.
