Mer's Waltz from Cloud Forest by The Barn Owl Band

Part of being a musician means that people assume you know nearly every tune or song ever written. We have all been asked, at some point, if we have heard “insert random recording name here.” Good friends of mine, Norm and Becky Lyons, loaned me a CD of waltzes and airs that they thought I might like. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical, but I fell in love with one waltz. Jon, Roger, and I spent a whole evening working out chords, pauses, and other subtleties that led to the Barn Owls' version of Mer's Waltz. Thanks Norm and Becky!
