Babylon Hot by The Dynamic Thrills
Babylon Hot was the only full length album to be released by Brisbane soul dubbers the Dynamic Thrills, shortly before their demise in mid 2007.
The album is notable for underground classic tune ‘It Ruff’ which featured its own video.
The Dynamic Thrills was the brainchild of Morgyn Quinn and Dal Smart, however the album features some memorable playing from some of Brisbane’s better known roots and soul musicians - Lachlan Mitchell’s vocals on ‘The Island of Lesbos’, Andrew Stephen’s (Kingfisha) guitar on ‘Monster Girl’ and Andrew Donald’s keys on ‘Hook Up with My Soul’ and ‘Dirty Little Thrill’.
