This album was like a room for me. I closed the windows, locked the door, and spoke only with sound, trying to find my own version of heaven.

Heaven, born in a small room, is a record of a long journey where psychedelic rock, grunge, vintage pop, and lo-fi indie converge. Every instrument was played alone, leaving the raw emotions of first takes intact. What began in anxiety and fear gradually turned into a meditation on life, death, and hope.

South Korea is known for its dazzling K-Pop, but behind that façade lies the reality of countless young people shaken by relentless competition and uncertainty. Heaven is their reflection. Within these songs live the isolation, despair, and escapism I experienced — and yet, also the love and hope I had to hold onto.

The question in “Where Is My Will?” is the voice of survival, clinging on even as strength fades. “Swim” drifts in a current of helplessness, yet struggles to stay afloat. “Sabina” faces death and farewell, but ultimately becomes a song of comfort for those left behind — the beating heart of the album.

Heaven was never about creating a perfect sound. It was about seeking truth within the cracks — in the moments that falter, fracture, and remain incomplete. Because it is in that imperfection where I find the most honest proof that I am alive.

May this record become a small room for you as well — a place where you can close the door on the noise of the world, and find your own questions and answers.
