Ad Astra by The Harvey Girls
The play Ad Astra was written by Hiram Lucke in October 2013 and recorded mostly by him; the narration bits were piped in over the wireless by Zaph. "We Have Such Films to Show You" episode used by permission of Josh Millard. “Blue Sands” was written by Buddy Collette, the rest were composed by The Harvey Girls and friends.

The cast of the play is: Narrator/Peabo--Zaph Mann; MC--Melissa Rodenbeek; SO--Hiram Lucke; DJ/Co-Worker 1--Adam Bartell; Cat Neighbor--Tom Filepp; Max--Shawn Hampton; Co-Worker 2--Josh Millard.
On 4 and 8, Shawn Hampton played the smooth sax, Tom Filepp played the trumpet, Adam Bartell played drums and bass, and Hiram played the spiky sax, the guitar solos, and the other stuff. Adam Bartell played bass on 5. On 9, Adam Bartell played drums/percussion on the first half and Josh Millard played the solo-ish guitar on the first half.
Songs 4, 5, and 9 started life in 2008. Song 7 began in 2011. All songs were finished in October/November 2013.

Melissa Rodenbeek and Hiram Lucke formed The Harvey Girls in August of 2003 in Lawrence, Kansas. The group combine the... melodies of bubblegum pop with experimentation in sound. Their music stands as a cross between Prince Paul's production work and the songs of the Shangri-Las. The couple moved to Portland, OR, in 2006 where they remain. Josh Millard joins the couple in their live shows.
