Focus. Morning. Put on dress
Walk to window reassess
Walk the garden, shaded lines
Rubbing petrol into eyes
Shoving splinters into hand
This is head buried in sand
Nothing good can come of this
Wheezing air, animal piss
This is the bed that I have made
I am never unafraid
I cannot walk into a room
Without impending sense of doom
You said it sounded so cliché
So why not take me far away?
Model village, model thinking makes

Drive me to the outer limits
Don't return until I've gone
Empty out my every pocket
Run until there's nothing wrong
Firing the lawn for winter
Smoking in the hazy dawn
Bury me behind the shimmer
Keep the weary moving on
