.blackseed! by Brotha Newz & Rummy

Taking shape over a near 3 year period, ".blackseed!" may very well be a magnum opus body of work inside Rummy's catalog. Brotha Newz, a Kansas Native as well as a skilled martial artist and teacher, connects flawlessly with Rummy on every track he lays a vocal on. Composed in the thought of a comic book strip, Rummy dons the name "Thames, the Blinded Bandolier" and as well Brotha Newz begins his path as "Malik Ronin". With intermittent comic style themed instrumentals laid in between tracks like short illustrations within a chaptered novel, ".blackseed!" stands on its own, completely separated from any mainstream or underground rap genres. Fully produced by Rummy with the exception of the track "Pam Anderson", which is composed by Rummy's longtime partner in production EU, this project questions the apathy put forth by today's artists and the like, as well continuing the conversation of self preservation against political constructs.
