Blind Boy Chocolate & The Milk Sheiks started in the summer of 2009. The name is a play on early American vernacular music band names and artist names/nicknames. "The Milk Sheiks" were a sometimes notorious street performing band that toured a lot of the country and performed extensively on stages ranging from dingy bars to festivals such as Merlefest to the N.C. Museum of History.
