Conceptualized and collaged from the 78rpm record collection gifted from my Great Grandfather, Clinton E. Riggs (Inventor of the Yield Sign, 1951). His tenacity for life, love of music, and curiosity for all cultures inspired me to create these works in his honor. Layering the 78 records and re-recording sections again in various spaces, time stretching, and fading in/out moments during random points within each song, allowed for the creation of familiar overlapping worlds, each paying homage to their initial thematic spark.

Mark Daniel Kuykendall, better known as The New Honey Shade, is an Oklahoma artist and producer. His work is generally characterized by his production style of melding electronically manipulated field recordings with dusty attic 8mm films. In recent work, he has explored biosonification via his relationship with the flora and fauna on Wild Mountain where he lives in Osage County, Oklahoma.
