Fictitious recording of a show that didn't take place...
"The NRG came to Glastonbury with a point to prove and they came out fighting. Flexing their Ambient House muscles the duo delivered a euphoric montage of sounds featuring everything from historians to hippies on acid, rave synths to Spitfires, dub grooves to breakbeats, nothing was left in The NRG armoury as they unleashed their Chill-out action."
De-Select Magazine, July 1991
Alas, thanks to the virus, the mighty Glastonbury Festival never happened in 2021 but fear not, thanks to a resourceful ex-radio producer, the long lost Radio 101FM master tape of The NRG's Glasto '91 show has been unearthed once more.
So strap yourselves in and get ready to be transported back to June 1991 and one of the most "infamous" festival sets to have never happened.
It would be wrong to define The NRG as simply chill-out music for ravers. If they had existed their music could have provided a soundtrack for the early glimpse of dawn after a night of raving, a soothing assembly of sounds that provided the peace after the storm.
