FAR OUT by THE OUTRYDERS

Riding to the far, far reaches
of the land,
from somewhere
out past Camooweal,
trying to hitch a ride
as storm clouds gather.
That was when we were
young and brave, and the
whole world was a funny farm
- still is!
But there it is,
that face we can’t forget
and away we go, hanging ten
on a wave of love, till we wash up
on a beach where a stallion stands.
Dead flowers wash in on the waves from far-off wars,
and it’s a long ride -
and a far cry - from this wide land where the sunset awaits
and we ride into it … singing!
