His sentience vacated long ago; a poignant narcissism does she know - a tyranny of hatred leaves her cold, as the will to live she can’t uphold.

The siege one of malice and contempt.
The burden of living is she now exempt.
Unmoved that she culminates to this, fading towards the infinite abyss.

An endless void of grey slowly fills her with reclusion, where the psychopomp appears, to initiate her final dissolution.
The mediatory realm between the conscious and unconscious - he remits a faith unjudged.

Assuring he conducts the voyage into the afterlife, a passive guide is he, arresting all his passers’ strife.
Transversing the dimensions, finding solace for the dead, he speaks to her some final words, scintillating as he said: “Go forth - you are freed.”

Arriving in the sacred world, the psychopomp right behind.
Looking to her, he says, “to the living world no longer are you confined.”

The endeavor finally complete.
His assignment once again replete.

Wanting to know where she’s ended - “Is this Heaven, or is this Hell?”
Smiling, he fades away, extending his final bid farewell.

The guiding shepherd to this world just a figment, and contrived, rescinding her existence through the unconscious in her mind.
