If I had a match, this place would burn
a trail of fire would guide my return
back to the land I had to leave
that’s caused my old, poor heart to grieve

So then I turn and face the wall
and try to dream my way from it all
I close my eyes and hope I see
the pretty girls who wait for me

The morning sun scatters light all around
illuminating the dust for miles around
