Vorstellungskraft by the tidal sleep

thank you for supporting us and ending up somehow with this record. when you read this you are most likely not only interested in the audio part of this record but you are also into the lyrics, artwork and the things we have to say about this record. when it comes to our music, we’ve always been an impulsive, not too much overthinking group of people and we’re always keen to push things further and experiment with a couple of things. 2013 was a year with a lot of changes for the band and the urge to write a new album with the new line-up emerged already after playing the first couple of shows together. the only problem was that we’re all strewn across the country these days which doesn’t make it any easier to write music, but at some point we just started writing riffs and putting ideas together and after a short but intense and inspiring amount of time, we ended up with enough songs to record, faster then we’d ever imagined. the album is called „Vorstellungskraft“ because everyone involved needed a lot of imagination in terms of how everything would sound and look in the end to keep us motivated and focused. the german word „Kraft“ simply means power and it is that same power of imagination that led us to this point where we are right now. we love what we do and we hope that we’ll always be able to continue our amazing journey with releasing records, playing shows and traveling countries to meet old and new friends.
this album would not have seen any record player without the help of some truly amazing human beings. we were blown away by Jens and Christians work at the RAMA studio. They are some real sound geeks and recording wizards. Dimi at the Hellvispressplay studio did some additional work on the vocal part of this record. Jack Shirley at the Atomic Garden Recording Studio mixed and mastered all songs to our maximum listening pleasure. We couldn’t have been happier with the way how amazing everything sounds and turned out.
