Lyrics
Well, I woke up in the morning; and not a bird was singing.
The air was still and silent; until the earth tossed in its sleep.
Mother earth had awoken; and she was in a bad, bad mood.
Serenity turned to confusion; in the same moment terror became truth.
Well after the buildings crumbled, after we thought we were in the clear;
Before we could ask why it was us, we could feel the wave upon us.
Oh no! Tsunami!
Crashing down on me.
Oh no! Tsunami!
Wash away everything, wash away everything.
Oh, Now as you may imagine, everything I remember is quite a blur.
There is one thing I know for certain. Yeah, there’s one thing I know for sure.
I saw a man standing on a beach. He had sand between his toes.
He stared at the wave defiant, even though he knew he’d be the first to go.
As Poseidon’s wrath bore down upon him I could swear that he began to smile.
Headlong, he ran to meet his fate; and the ocean swallowed him alive.
