Hailing from Brooklyn, NY—and featuring members of bands Orchid, Panthers, Saetia and Off Minor—THE YEAR IS ONE draw inspiration from classic power violence, death metal and hardcore to create their own brand of bass-heavy grindcore.
The results can be heard on their debut demo, 061611, which was recently recorded with Tom Beaujour and mixed and mastered by Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer).
