We’re sitting in front of an old 4:3 TV
watching some Saturday morning cartoons.
Some cinnamon toast is all I really need
while we waste away the hours ‘til noon.

And how does Charlie Brown understand
what the grown-ups are saying?
And do they ever see or comprehend all the
games we’ve been playing?

Come 7:00 and we’ll be outside and free,
Got all of the Saturday night-time ahead.
It’s Heaven on Earth to play some hide-n’-seek
while we waste away the hours to bed.
