The fires rage inside, as all we had is washed away. The flickers of this life we held so dear are nowhere to be found. Where is our saviour, as these daemons scourge our land? Where is our salvation, as we watch our world burn? Our chance of escaping this fate flickers like the flame of a match. Shall we just bow our heads and embrace immolation? The sky comes crashing down, to lay a burning crown upon this world and cleanse the plague we’ve brought upon ourselves. Candles light the way, but, the path to take is so unclear. Ash rains down in our eyes and the flames lick at my heels. Don’t stop, don’t slow and don’t turn back, your shadow is not your friend. This broken world is our own doing, and so far beyond repair.
