Two by Tom Ford

Two is a concept album about duality;

To we who have eaten from the fruits of distinction, ours is a world of two. Of night and day, good and evil, existence and void.

Our sawing peaks of joy shall only be measured by the deepest trenches of our sorrow. Good shall be set against evil like water to fire. Ours is a world of conflict. We may know great clarity in eternal chaos but lack weight to balance the scales.

Yinyang will be two halves to us, the children of reason. Deeds will be done, weighed for value and sold on as corn from a farmer. Our time shall be defined by moments packaged with the brittle paper of concept and our eternally transient now shall be known only by that which has preceded and that which precedes.

And what of life and death? We shall know both but not as one. Death will answer life as night answers day but never shall we see the stars before the sun has set. We are the children of duality, the heirs to knowledge, but if the place we seek cannot be found in two halves how might we find our Tao?
