Gongs from Rhythm Mission by Tony Vacca

I'm a gong freak... the sounds these instrument can produce, and the vibe they can call up is far beyond any other instrument I know. The Paiste company, one of the most accomplished gong makers on earth, generously invited me to be an endorser of their creations, and I was out-of-my-mind happy about it. So of course Tim Moran and I had to create this journey into the unknown.

Tony Vacca has become a true “rhythm nomad,” incorporating a world of percussion music and instruments to create something… all his own.

Over the course of his career he has made a habit of pushing the already adventurous conventions of World Music into new territory, both as a soloist and as the leader of his World Rhythms Ensemble.
