WASD EP by Stefan Goodchild
This is the third EP from Stefan Goodchild on Triple Geek Recordings. The EP features four tracks of leftfield breakbeat heavily influenced by a mixture of the more melodic end of Techno and Dub. Whilst not aimed directly the dance floor they definitely have the required tempo, weighty subs and shuffle. Influences come from sources as varied as recent releases from Azu Tiwaline, Fiesta Soundsystem and Otik; then looking back to Channel One, Pink Floyd, Wendy Carlos and old Electro taped off pirate radio stations of late 80’s South London.
(Shouts to Bobby “Bobafatt”, who 20 years go recorded some little beat scratches which had finally been used in the track, Waldorf and Statler!)
