Album Bio:
If you enjoy albums that are slow & meditative with progressive song structures, a folky soundscape, raw vocals, distortion, and some chaotic moments, then this album is for you.
"END! Begin" is a project formed in Salisbury, England, conceptualised by a variety of artists from around the world. Our album is the amalgamation of six years of writing, recording, ideas, and hard work. Our music is often slow to mid-tempo, building up to a wall-of-sound crescendo, accompanied by raw vocals about innocence, death, and the afterlife. If one stranger listens to what we created and enjoys it, we have achieved more than we set out to do, and we are grateful for your time. However, we would appreciate it if you shared our album with your friends if you like what we made.
This album was made with only headphone's in mind, so it may not sound "right" on speakers.

About the Music:
The music was intended to sound meditative and slow, with some chaotic moments mixed in. Vocally, I know I am not a technical singer, but I thought it was important to me to express my voice as is. Expressing oneself shouldn't be restricted to just those who are good at it. When I began this project, I had zero experience or knowledge about songwriting, singing, or making music, so everything has been learned from scratch. This album was made entirely from trial and error. I actively chose to avoid looking up tutorials and helpful videos to avoid influence. I have probably heard each song a thousand times, which may sound like an exaggeration but honestly that's a rough, genuine estimation. No song is intended as a single, and structurally, they're made to tell a narrative that progresses instrumentally from one song to the next. If I were to make another album, I would want to create something a bit more raw and lo-fi, leaning into shorter, indie-folk songs and featuring a different vocalist who isn't me.

The album was produced using an old version of GarageBand for mixing and effects. Vocals were recorded on a cheap £20 mic from Amazon. Instrumentals were recorded individually by the performer/artist either at home or in a studio.
