There’s a veil over my eyes & it’s hindering my sight.
It’s heavy—it’s so heavy…it’s no use.
But the truth is, even if I had the strength to lift it,
my heart would leave it be so I couldn’t see your love.
So I cry out to you from this dark & distant place.
I cry out for you, & through my blindness say:

Let me see Jesus. Let me see grace.
Give me a vision of the Lamb smitten in my place.
Let me see Spirit. Let me have faith.
Give me lungs filled with your fragrance, & lips that speak your name.
Let me see Father. Let me know mercy.
Let me see you face to face, YHWH.

Flow into my body like a flood of living water.
Drive out all my sin, purify & cleanse. Make me a temple.
Shine into my hearts eye from the top of Mount Sinai.
Illuminate my face—illuminate my life.
Shine on me & let me see…
