The dreams of greatness were leading peoples towards the stars at all times, amplified by their never-ending willingness to leave the placid island of ignorance in the midst of the black seas of infinity that humanity calls its home. However, great goals require great sacrifices. The darkest vistas of reality that might one day unveil its secrets shall either drive its discoverers mad or make them flee from the light of the obtained wisdom into the peace and safety of a new dark age. The strive for greatness is akin to a noose, slowly tightening around one's neck. One seeking the eternal wisdom must remember that its possession may turn fatal.
ULTAR is a five-piece band from the heart of Siberia, Krasnoyarsk town, that is placed amidst the howling woods and red mountains. In genre terms, the band could be thought of as sonic alchemists who blend ingredients from black metal, post-metal, and shoegaze, with a talent for creating dramatic melodies that have emotional intensity as well as staying power.
