Perfect set of properly energising, broken beat work-outs from this hardworking Bristolian artist and graffiti writer, whose Bruk productions have been bubbling under for a while via the city's Universal Magnetic platform, and who has previously worked in a number of guises across diverse genres, from footwork to avant-hip-hop.
Crisp snares and hats cascade and skip deftly over woody drum programming, supple break chops and rumbling subs, while lush synth lines bring warm, summery vibes across the breadth of this modestly staged yet massively charismatic EP. Rounded off by a deep, uptempo remix from the mighty Drumskull in steely 160 hybrid mode, every track delivers across a release that promises so much more from this dexterous Bristolian producer.
