Infolding by Coefficient

This new EP on Unspace sees Coefficient releasing 4 solid cuts of sci-fi leaning techno futurism. Exploring the grey area between the dancefloor and abstract electronics.

M Sigma starts off with a bass heavy 4x4 rhythm. Distant esoteric bleeps and alien tones rise and fade, with bright percussion building and falling back down again into the minimal low bass rhythm.

The title track Infolding incorporates waves of atmospheric noise and carefully processed reverberations. A dark analog bass moves below, while spatial feedback and experimental tones rise and fall creating tension and mood. A deep space journey into the abyss.

Two versions of the track Meissa close the EP. Meissa (Space Mix) is a hypnotic techno cut with rolling bass and classic pads, contrasted with complex and dissonant high frequencies and ringing metallic FX and delays.

Meissa (Planetary Mix) uses the same rolling bass but adds ethereal keys and uplifting pads to create golden waves of texture and tone. Something different from the usual dark and hypnotic label output, and the perfect closing track for this EP.
