Undulations EP by Unstrich
Two erratic pieces made specially for a limited edition transparent 12 inch dub. One slightly out of tune, the other clamorously off key, they both make use of various kinds of bows on strings and all sorts of objects for their somewhat differently tempered undulations. Both also deriving from earlier source material, the B-side is a remix that jacks up the clamor of the original even further, while the A-side is a completely new assemblage of layers.

Unstrich is the moniker of Nicklas Wiklund in Uppsala, Sweden. Slightly obsessed with indeterminacy, his musical output is nevertheless mostly uneventful. Recordings of his obstinately playing instruments and objects are layered without being coordinated. The result ranges from the discordant to the serene, but always quite unrefined. A music of intertwining and entanglement, straggly and frayed.
