Backyard Beach by Up N Adam
This EP is the closing of the door on the Nashville chapter of my life. All of these songs were written when I was living in that landlocked state.
"Backyard Overture" was written for this EP.
"Backyard Beach" was written for myself.
"Benchwarmer" was written for fun.
"Between Fireflies & Stringlights" was written (well, improvised) when I first moved to Nashville, starry-eyed and hopeful for the future, sitting on the patio in the backyard of the first house that welcomed me there, strumming joyful in the face of a pandemic. I did not touch the recording in the years since, other than mastering it. I still feel that hope when I listen to it, and I hope you can too.
