Diving Wounds pair's Thme's signature restraint — soft dissonance, breath-held loops, with Virigina Aveline’s delicate fractured textures. While both, the Parisian artist Thme and the Richmond native Virginia Aveline, have had solo showings on the label prior, this is their first collaborative release as a duo. The result is an album that's continually rising towards suspended tension, all while still managing to gracefully draw you inward by carrying a revealing sense of privacy — like each note is being tended to in real time.
