In the deepest night of midwinter, we threw open the gilded doors of Silverdrift Amphitheater and invited the impossible in.

*Galingale* is our most ambitious offering yet—a swirling tempest of orchestral prog and labyrinthine guitar that chronicles a naive Prodigy's rise through the treacherous spectacle of the Shattercourt. We've poured everything into this one: hammered dulcimer cascading over Mellotron waves, tenor vocals soaring above ceremonial choirs, and bass clarinet weaving through polyrhythmic drum patterns that skitter like fate's dice across marble floors.

The story consumed us for months. We found ourselves sketching character motifs at 3 AM, arguing over time signatures in rain-soaked parking lots, and once recording an entire choir section twice because the light wasn't right in the studio. "We needed to hear the sound of quicklime and velvet," our producer said, and somehow, we all understood.

From the swelling anticipation of "Amethyst Arrival" to the bittersweet reflection of "Inheritance of Applause," each track shifts the amphitheater's reality—banners unfurl, alliances form and shatter, and masked nobles scheme beneath the watchful gaze of the Choir Tribunal. The centerpiece duel between the Prodigy and the silver-masked Gutter Prince in "Pageant Shift" nearly broke us technically—seventeen time changes in eight minutes, with costume transformations mid-verse that demanded complete musical reinvention.

We recorded parts of the album in an actual marble chamber, capturing the rustle of brocade costumes and the whisper of conspiring voices between choruses. Some nights, the boundaries blurred; we'd emerge from late sessions unsure if we were musicians or characters ourselves.
