Struggle Sandwich by Variex
Oakland, California rapper and producer Variex is bringing a fresh take to a classic g-funk sound with his newest album, Struggle Sandwich. A mix of live instrumentation and samples blends into a colorful canvas of funky basslines and guitars, smooth synth leads, and laid-back beats for Variex to rhyme over with personal, honest lyrics filtered through the voice of a jaded rapper. Talkbox melodies are sprinkled throughout the album, adding a nostalgic and emotional flavor to contrast the vocals. Struggle Sandwich will be out on all major digital outlets and is scheduled for release October 2, 2020.
