When did it become too uncomfortable to hold
The space that was murky and untold
I always thought that we were bold
Yet in the darkness we were cold
Too afraid to unfold

When there is no why
How are we
Supposed to rest into it and
Know that it is right
I’m feeling
Quite shy

We rushed through it uncontrolled
Mind wanted to know although the soul
Was still not sold
We missed out on the gold
Not digging deep enough into the fold
To meet our threshold

When there is nothing to deny
How are we
Supposed to trust and rely on
What sometimes feels tight
How do we
Get to the whole sky

Rest where right meets left
Rest where roots gather and connect with the chest
Rest where there’s no gain or theft
Rest where past meets with what is ahead

Rest where nothing is dressed
Rest where commitment and freedom are the same request
Rest in between the breath
Rest in the space before birth and after death
