There’s something about the patterns and textures of modular synth compositions that feel post-digital. It’s like old electronic equipment still humming even after the dust of technological collapse has settled and nestled itself into the circuit boards. Syncopated signals transforming into representations of nature in the time it takes to travel between the headphones and the listener. The sounds of synthetic decay disguising themselves as water lapping against the legs of bridges. The hollow echoes of distant urban activity filtered through miles of brush and branches.
