Mixing doom with power-pop, retro-futurist synthscapes with choral breakdowns, techno plus falsetto; Summoner is a genre-dodging album that draws from the entire spectrum of Astrothrone's respective musical backgrounds whilst carving out entirely new territory.
Astrothrone take a love of hooks and melody, pushing both to the forefront with a wealth of detail and idiosyncrasies to manuver the songs in unexpected directions.
