Spitfire by We Are Star Children

We Are Star Children started their third studio album in 2015 following the release of "With Arrows" at Virginia Art Recording under the guidance of Chris Doerman and Sean Dart. After a short break, the band relocated to James McLaughlin’s studio. Here, they worked on re-recording the lost tracks and developing new ones.

The album's completion was further delayed by the pandemic, but eventually, it was finished in McLaughlin's newly built Mountainside studio. This process spanned almost nine years, marking a significant period since their last release.

The album features original compositions that embody the band's signature sound while exploring a wide range of musical styles. It includes tracks like "Fairy King," which incorporates Spaghetti Western elements, and the emotionally powerful and anthemic title track "Spitfire."
