Renunciation by Limestone Ziggurat

The first attempt at Workingman's Drone session number eighty-three, recorded on the 3rd evening of November, 2024. It felt disconnected from the original purpose, and so it was shelved for later consideration. Following the initial session, which consisted of seven oscillators (see the track information panel for detailed patch notes), the recording was further shaped by the granular resampling and fast Fourier transform processes within Goldwave to become what is put before you now. The visual pairing for this album is my most recent experiment with displacement mapping of my own photography and Frantisek Kupka paintings. The release exists as absolute music in the 18th century definition of that term - music, for music's own sake - and these types of releases are likely to become more proliferated across the next four years, for reasons that should remain obvious.
