Rot by Willow Tree

This album consists of one movement and was recorded using the built-in microphone on the iPhone. My friend Eric and I came up with one simple theme and then improvised the whole piece in one take. We were exceptionally drunk during recording and could hardly walk as we floundered in the strife of our condition. I threw up in the middle of the recording and filled a 16 ounce disposable cup which I acquired from some chinese take-out place which was pretty funny. There wasn't much done in post: only some basic equalization and compression.

This is the first "noise rock" project and I hope to do more in the future. I aim to expand and diversify my noise for the future but I also wish to hold onto the rawness and organic vibe that this project presented.

The name of the individual songs of this album are a direct quote from a poem that my friend Brian had written and sent to me. I took a section from his poem and named the individual tracks after each line in its corresponding order.
