Work Wife, a folk-rock project borne out of the pressure cooker of the New York indie scene, is the brainchild of singer-guitarist Meredith Lampe, guitarist Isaac Stalling, Cody Edgerly (drums) and Kenny Monroe (bass). In part pop confidential á la Liz Phair, Jenny Lewis, and in part oops-i-walked-into-your-band-practice-and-hit-record, the 4-piece covers diverse musical territory with a wink.
