Over the course of a week in May 2018 the bands Sun Dog and YOU gathered to record an album themselves in band members homes in both Albuquerque and Red River. The bands released a spilt 12" record in 2015 and looked to take a different approach when recording "Mountain Things"; recording live as one collective group with minimal creative restrictions.
