Leroy: Figment by Zak Engel

Leroy: Figment is an exercise in musical journaling. Loose, colorful, imperfect. The album began as a stream-of-consciousness and evolved into a family of five pieces. Each track is polished into a unique arrangement, both in tone and instrumentation. Listening through the album as a whole, reprising musical themes reveal themselves and shared textural fabric ties the work together into what is hopefully a surprising and fulfilling expression of early fatherhood.

Inspired by my son Leroy, my wife Allie, and our time spent together and apart.
