Messenger by Zentone
Zentone, a contraction of Zenzile and High Tone, two flagship bands on the French dub scene which emerged in the late 1990s. The former from Angers, the latter from Lyon.
Each has forged its own unique sound, Zenzile approaching dub from the
punk-rock side of English models steeped in Jamaican sounds (The Clash, The Specials, The Ruts), while High Tone, coming from a fusion background, climbed the electro side.
4 years after the release of “Chapter 2”, the super-group is back with a new album in September 2025.

Zenzile aborde le dub par la face punk-rock des modèles anglais imprégnés des sons jamaïcains (The Clash, The Specials, The Ruts) tandis que High Tone, venu de la fusion, l’a escaladé par le versant électro.
