Level Never by Echo Specter
Echo Specter is a pandemic project started by four long time friends who live in the Bay Area.
Our drummer Jason has performed and/or recorded with Taylor Swift, Matt Nathanson, John Vanderslice, and Thao & the Get Down Stay Down.
Chris Brown who plays Trumpet and synths, performed and/or recorded with with Albino and The Grease Traps.
Our Bass player Brandon Essex also plays with No Coasters and The Doppler Trio.
Erik Hoagland plays Sax and EWI and composes the music for Echo Specter also plays with The Doppler Trio.
The music is inspired by 80’s arcade games and superhero anthems. Mostly uptempo, with a couple slower compositions inspired by Twin Peaks.
Our album, Level Never was recorded in Oakland at Tiny Telephone and was chosen to be a part of San Francisco Public Library’s Bay Beats music streaming service.
