The landscape of Nordic dance music contains a great variety of distinct and nuanced rhythms. Two folk musicians in the Seattle area, fiddler Irene Myers and guitarist John Peekstok, each with decades of playing and performing experience, started improvising with these rhythms in their own duo way when they first teamed up in 2012 at Skandia Folkdance Society’s annual Springdans Northwest.
